Pfizer created a program called OWNIT! to promote a safe work environment where colleagues can have a constructive conversation about what is working or can be done better. Part of this program allowed employees to show their appreciation for a colleague by nominating them for the W.E. UPJohn Award. Winners received recognition in their work community and a gift card.
Their original site was outdated, daunting, text heavy, and lacked a clear picture of where to start and what was to come. Users were coming in excited, wanting to do a good thing and leaving frustrated.
